On Speedy Tuesday in January 2026, Omega will be releasing a new Speedmaster Moonwatch. This is the Speedmaster Moonwatch Black/White, available in a stainless steel or 18K Moonshine™ gold case and featuring a reverse panda dial.

The Speedmaster Moonwatch, the first model of which was released in 1957, is an immensely popular Omega collection, thanks to its design that follows on from previous models and its history as NASA's official chronograph watch, having been carried on missions such as the Apollo 11 moon landing.
One indication of this popularity is the existence of #SPEEDYTUESDAY. Started in 2012 by Fratello Watches, a website specializing in watches, the hashtag features a Speedmaster every Tuesday. Gradually, Speedmaster enthusiasts began posting images and comments about the model on various social media platforms along with the hashtag on Tuesdays. In recent years, Omega has also chosen Tuesdays to announce new Speedmaster models.
In January 2026, a new model was added to the Speedy Tuesday lineup. The 42mm asymmetrical case remains the same, but the Speedmaster Moonwatch Black/White features a black dial with a white subdial, and is available in stainless steel or 18K Moonshine™ gold.

Designs like this one, where the colors of the dial and inset dial are reversed, are sometimes referred to as "panda dials" or "reverse panda dials." Most Speedmaster Moonwatch dials to date have been a single color, with the exception of 18K gold models and some commemorative models. The black and white combination, in particular, has only been seen on a few watches, such as the "Speedmaster "Speedy Tuesday" Limited Edition," which debuted in 2017 as a homage to #SPEEDYTUESDAY. While the design is familiar, it somehow manages to feel fresh.
The dial, which is made up of two plates, has a black section that is varnished and lacquered, then polished. The white inner dial is also varnished and lacquered, and the rhodium-plated frame enhances the three-dimensional effect. The scale is transferred in white onto the black dial and in black onto the inner dial, making it easy to read.
The bezel ring is made of ceramic, not aluminum, and features a white enamel tachymeter scale. The bezel continues to feature designs inspired by the classic Moonwatch, such as the Dot Over 90 and Dot Diagonal Toe 70, which are still used in the current collection.
The bracelet, like previous Speedmaster Moonwatches, features a combination of polished and brushed finishes and is equipped with Omega's patented Comfort Release System, which allows for fine adjustment of the bracelet at the buckle without the need for tools.
The lineup includes two models: a stainless steel model and an 18K Moonshine™ gold model. The former features rhodium-plated hands and hour markers, and is filled with white Super-LumiNova. The latter features hands and hour markers, except for the chronograph seconds hand, made of 18K Moonshine™ gold to match the exterior, and is filled with white Super-LumiNova, just like the stainless steel model. The chronograph seconds hand is PVD-plated with Moonshine™ gold.
The movement is the hand-wound Cal. 3861. It is a Master Chronometer certified movement with excellent performance, including magnetic resistance of over 15,000 gauss, and comes with a 5-year international warranty.
