Tissot PRC 100 Solar adds three models with ice blue dials and two-tone color designs

Tissot is adding three new models to its PRC 100 Solar collection, which features its unique solar technology. While retaining the distinctive dodecagonal bezel, the collection will feature a 39mm case with an ice blue dial, and two-tone models with 39mm and 34mm case diameters and a silver dial with a gold-colored bezel and bracelet.

Three new products added to the "PRC 100 Solar"

　Tissot is adding three new models to its PRC 100 Solar collection, which features a 12-sided bezel and unique solar-powered technology. The variations are a 39mm model with an ice blue dial, and two-tone models with 39mm and 34mm case diameters that combine a silver dial with a gold-colored bezel and bracelet links.

　PRC stands for Precise, Robust, and Classic, and is a name that reflects the watch's features: high accuracy thanks to its solar-powered quartz movement, continued operation while generating electricity even in everyday life, and a simple design that matches a variety of scenes.

　The PRC 100 Solar uses Tissot's proprietary Lightmaster Solar technology. While typical solar-powered watches place the solar cell on or below the dial, Lightmaster Solar technology is unique in that the solar cell is placed inside the sapphire crystal crystal. Placing a typical solar cell in the crystal position would obscure the dial, so the core of this technology is the use of a microscopic solar cell with a honeycomb structure, while still ensuring sufficient power generation.

　The adoption of Lightmaster Solar technology allows for greater freedom in dial design, and the highly efficient design means that it can provide 24 hours of power with just 10 minutes of light exposure in a 5000 lux environment.

　Another new addition to the 39mm case is a design that combines a stainless steel base with gold coloring. The gold coloring of the 12-sided bezel accentuates the watch's shape, giving it a more classical feel.
