MeisterSinger's new collection explores the essence of wristwatches
MeisterSinger, a German watch brand from Münster that specializes in one-hand watches, has announced a new model called "Archao." The model name comes from the Greek word "archaios," which means "of origin" or "primordial." As the name suggests, the design captures the essence of a watch.

Introducing the new "Arcao" collection, named after the Greek word "archaios," meaning "of origin" or "primordial." Available in three color variations. Automatic winding (Cal. SW200). 28,800 vibrations per hour. Power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Stainless steel + DLC case (43mm diameter). Water resistant to 5 bar. Each is priced at 495,000 yen (tax included).
The dial comes in three color variations: black, blue, and red. The surface has a slightly rough matte texture. The printed Arabic numerals are arranged in an orderly fashion like an instrument, and all display two digits from 01 to 12, creating a well-balanced appearance. There is only one hand in the center, which is thick and large, making it extremely easy to read. The tip and counterweight are white, while the center is black, creating a two-part design. The minute scale is printed with slightly longer 15-minute increments in white and shorter 5-minute increments in gray, making it easy to read the time even though it is a one-hand watch.

The case has a 43mm diameter, giving it a powerful feel. The stainless steel is finished in black with DLC coating, making it highly scratch-resistant. The case back is secured with six screws and is water resistant to 5 bar. The see-through case back features a special design with a volcano motif and the ARCHAO logo. The strap is made of thick saddle leather with white stitching.
The movement is Sellita's Cal. SW200, a highly reliable, general-purpose automatic movement used by many brands.
