Ulysse Nardin's Freak X has been joined by a limited-edition collaboration model with Gumball 3000: the Freak X Gumball 3000 Edition 2. Gumball 3000 is a lifestyle brand and entertainment group founded in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper. Based on the shared principles of "performance" and "individuality," Ulysse Nardin has been collaborating with Gumball 3000 for three years.

The Freak X, featuring a flying carousel mechanism, is a unique complication watch that displays the time using an hour disc that rotates once every 12 hours and a flying carousel that rotates once every hour. This model features an ultra-lightweight hour disc made of Carbonium®, a fusion of aerospace-grade carbon fiber and orange epoxy resin, achieving a black and orange coloring, expressing the spirit of Gumball 3000: "motion," "freedom," and "energy."
Its high practicality is also appealing. The carousel mechanism that functions as the indexes and hands is coated with Super-LumiNova, providing excellent visibility. As a pioneer of silicon materials, Ulysse Nardin also uses a silicon escapement, ensuring high accuracy and magnetic resistance.
The case is made of titanium with a black DLC coating. Titanium is lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant, making it the perfect material for practical watches. The black DLC coating also enhances scratch resistance while giving the watch a color that matches the theme of the piece.
The strap is black rubber coated with orange inserts and stitching, and some sections are openwork, allowing the orange inserts to peek out and add a playful touch.
