Mühle Glashütte, a watch brand from Glashütte, Germany, has announced four new models to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its watchmaking. One of them, the "Sportivo Big Date," is a sports watch with a big date function and features a new gradient dial that changes from blue to black.

A gradient dial that resembles sinking into the deep sea.
Mühle Glashütte, which began by supplying measuring instrument components to German watch manufacturers and has since produced speedometers, tachometers, and automotive clocks, started manufacturing marine chronometers and ship's clocks in 1994 and began full-scale wristwatch production in 1996. To commemorate its 30th anniversary, a new color model of the "Sportivo Big Date" has been announced.

Automatic winding (Cal.MU9424-GD). Power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Stainless steel case (42.5mm diameter, 12.5mm thickness). 30 ATM water resistance. Bracelet version: Estimated price 621,500 yen (including tax), Leather, rubber, and textile strap versions: Estimated price 577,500 yen.
The Sportivo Big Date is a diver's watch design model with a big date display, part of the brand's timeless sports line, the "Sportivo" collection.
The new dial features a gradient from blue to black, reminiscent of the deep sea where almost no light penetrates. The darker outer edge makes the minute track and the iconic big date display stand out, while also creating a natural continuity with the bezel, which has a black ceramic insert.

The 42.5mm diameter stainless steel case evokes the look of a retro diver's watch, and it boasts a corresponding 30 ATM water resistance. At the same time, the combination of brushed and polished finishes maintains a sense of quality, resulting in a timepiece that embodies the brand's philosophy of "quality in functionality."
