To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier, Chopard has unveiled the exquisitely crafted mechanical table clock, "The Beehive Table Clock." Inspired by the Maison's iconic beehive motif, the clock was created in collaboration with L'Épée 1839, a company specializing in the manufacture of complex clock mechanisms. Featuring a sophisticated chiming mechanism, this clock is limited to just 10 pieces worldwide and will be sold exclusively at Chopard boutiques.

A mechanical table clock developed in collaboration with L'Épée 1839 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Chopard Manufacture. Hand-wound. Power reserve of approximately 8 days. Made of brass, steel, and 18K ethical yellow gold (height 25.8cm, maximum diameter 16.5cm). Limited to 10 pieces worldwide (Chopard boutiques only). Estimated price: ¥52,998,000 (including tax).
A design that embodies the beehive, a symbol of the manufacture.
The "beehive" motif of this timepiece is an emblem that has been used since the time of the maison's founder, Louis-Ulysse Chopard, and symbolizes diligence and the spirit of collaboration among craftsmen. Inspired by traditional beehives from medieval Europe, the exterior is composed of seven rounded tiers of borosilicate glass. The brass movement plate and steel base are finished in gold, creating an image reminiscent of a honeycomb overflowing with honey.
"Three Bees" showcases the savoir-faire of high jewelry.

Turning to the clock's exterior, you'll find three bees crafted from 18K ethical yellow gold in a high jewelry atelier in Geneva. Symbolizing three generations of the Scheufele family, these bees are lavishly adorned with yellow sapphires, black diamonds, black spinels, and rock crystal wings. These bees are more than just decorative; two of them point to the hours and minutes, while the one near the top indicates the chiming mode, serving as a practical indicator.

A collaboration with Lepe 1839. The clear, pure sound produced by the glass bell.
The most distinctive feature of this piece is its chiming mechanism, which uses the top glass dome as a bell, striking the inside with a small gold hammer to announce the time. To perfect this acoustic performance, scientific analysis was conducted in collaboration with the Geneva School of Landscape Architecture, Engineering and Design (HEPIA). The result is an extremely faithful reproduction of the crystal-clear tone that meets the standards of Chopard's renowned sonneries.

There are three modes to choose from: "Active," which automatically sounds the chime; "Silent," which does not sound the chime; and "On-Demand," which allows you to manually sound the current time.
Twin barrel movement with approximately 8 days of power reserve

The movement employs a twin barrel system, and winding is performed by rotating the crown located at the bottom. Turning it clockwise winds the mainspring for timekeeping, while turning it counterclockwise winds the mainspring for chiming. When fully wound, it provides a power reserve of approximately 8 days in active mode. It is a true work of art, a magnificent fusion of watchmaking savoir-faire and high jewelry techniques.
