Spinnaker and Popeye collaborate for the third time! "Picard Automatic Popeye Limited Edition"

Spinnaker has announced the third collaboration model with "Popeye," the cartoon character depicting a man of the sea, the "Picard Automatic Popeye Limited Edition." The base model, the "Picard," is an iconic model known for its high water resistance of 550m, its large case that symbolizes this, and its large, protruding sapphire crystal that is inspired by a submarine. This latest collaboration model comes in three variations: black, blue, and red, each in a monochrome design, and will be delivered to customers in special packaging that expresses the world of "Popeye."

　Spinnaker has announced the "Picard Automatic Popeye Limited Edition," a collaboration model with Popeye that resonates with the brand's ocean-themed concept. This is the third Popeye-themed model, following the "Challenger Automatic Popeye Anchor Arms Limited Edition" announced in January 2026. Three variations of this collaboration are available.

　Spinnaker is an Italian watch brand that made its debut in Japan in 2019. Its concept is "Crossing the Seas, Living with the Sea," and its designs are based on the needs of people who participate in marine sports such as yachting and freediving. Among its offerings, the "Picard," which served as the basis for the new model, is an iconic model characterized by its high water resistance of 550m, its large, symbolic case, and its large, protruding sapphire crystal, inspired by submarines.

Popeye, the man of the sea, is depicted across the entire dial and bezel.

　Three variations were announced. The black dial model, named Barnacle Black, features a design that reflects the world of Popeye, which originally unfolded as a comic strip and black-and-white animation. The monochrome image of Popeye flexing his biceps is depicted in three dimensions and with great power through relief.

　The ceramic bezel is engraved with "I YAM WHAT I YAM" between the 12 and 4 o'clock positions. This is a famous line from the film, representing how "I am what I am" sounds in Popeye's sailor's intonation. Furthermore, the top of the crown is black, echoing the bezel and dial.

　The blue dial model, named "V-Blue," features a navy blue dial and bezel reminiscent of the sea. Popeye flexing his bicep is depicted in vibrant color on the dial.

　The red dial model, named "Blistering Red," features a red color reminiscent of the collar of Popeye's sailor uniform on the dial and bezel. In this model, Popeye is depicted with his arms outstretched, showcasing his strong, powerful arms.

　Each model will be delivered to the user in special packaging that incorporates elements from the Popeye comic strip. A limited edition card featuring the iconic spinach can design will also be included.
