Panerai has introduced a new model in its "Submersible" collection, the "Submersible GMT" Ref. PAM01495. Featuring a boldly skeletonized Cal. P.4001/S movement, this professional-grade timepiece prioritizes essential diver's watch features such as legibility and durability. It has been available exclusively at Panerai boutiques since May 2026.

Panerai has launched the Submersible GMT Ref. PAM01495, a new GMT watch in its Submersible collection. The brand, which has a history of manufacturing instruments for the Italian Navy, has developed professional-grade timepieces that perform reliably even in environments where failure is not an option. This latest model also features a bold skeleton design while maintaining excellent legibility and durability, making it a true tool watch.

The movement visible through the dial is the Cal.P.4001/S, composed of 341 parts. Finished entirely in black, it highlights the orange GMT hand, reminiscent of buoys and sailing regattas widely used in marine environments. In addition to openwork, a grid design inspired by the robust nets used to secure ships is incorporated, paying homage to the brand's deep connection to the ocean.
A notable feature of this movement is its patented polarized date system. Unlike conventional date displays, this system uses a transparent disc, and the date is only visible through the polarized date window at the 3 o'clock position. This allows for a more expansive view of the movement's intricate mechanism.
Incidentally, this watch's GMT function, thanks to a patented GMT spring, allows you to jump the local time hand in one-hour increments by operating the crown. Furthermore, it also features a seconds reset function that returns the second hand to the zero position when the crown is pulled out, making time setting easy.
The titanium case is formed into a large 47mm diameter size using "DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering)" technology. DMLS is a 3D printing technology that forms layers by sintering powdered Grade 5 titanium with a laser. This allows the case to be integrally formed while retaining internal cavities, resulting in a lighter weight compared to standard titanium or stainless steel cases, while achieving exceptional durability, including 50 ATM water resistance.
Furthermore, the excellent water resistance of this model is guaranteed by a water pressure test conducted under the quality control of Panerai's "Laboratorio D Idée," using a 25% safety factor added to 50 atmospheres. In addition, it has been proven that there is no moisture inside the watch by heating it and then dripping cold water onto the sapphire crystal.
