Chanel has appointed Marie-Laure Sérède, who has worked for numerous prestigious jewelers, as its Jewelry Creation Studio Director. She will now be responsible for all aspects of Chanel's fine and high jewelry creation.
Marie-Laure Sérède appointed Director of Chanel's Jewelry Creation Studio

Raised in Libreville, Gabon, West Africa, she was exposed to a world full of nature and color from a young age, fostering her familiarity with decorative techniques and crafts. A graduate of the ESCP Europe, she began her career at Cartier, then held the position of artistic director for jewelry and watchmaking at Harry Winston before returning to Cartier in 2016. She served as Creative Director of the Jewelry & Watchmaking division for approximately 10 years. She is scheduled to assume the position of Director of the Jewelry Creation Studio at Chanel in October 2026.
Marie-Laure Sérède, who has made a name for herself at Cartier and Harry Winston, will join Chanel in October 2026 as Director of the Jewelry Creation Studio, under Frédéric Granger, President of Watches and Jewelry. She will work closely with teams in Paris and Geneva to oversee all aspects of fine and high jewelry creation.
Upon taking office, Seled commented as follows:

Her vision, originality, and unique talent in leading the creation studio will shape the next chapter for Chanel jewelry."
