Seiko has announced a new model in its Seiko Presage "Classic Series," featuring a 38.0mm case diameter and available in three color variations. The 38.0mm case offers a dignified look while remaining easy to incorporate into various outfits. The dial features a embossed pattern that expresses the texture of silk, as used in the "Classic Series Tomioka Silk Promotion Organization Limited Edition" Ref. HCC010J, and combines this with three colors that incorporate Japanese aesthetics: "Shironeri" (white), "Wakatake-iro" (young bamboo green), and "Sakura-iro" (cherry blossom pink).

Seiko Presage's "Classic Series" is adding a new regular model with a 38.0mm diameter case size. Slightly more compact than the modern standard for dress watches, it offers a refined look that's easy to incorporate into various outfits. To mark its debut, it will be available in three color variations inspired by Japanese aesthetics: "Shironeri" (white), which evokes the texture of silk; "Wakatake-iro" (young bamboo green), which incorporates the colors of nature; and "Sakura-iro" (cherry blossom pink).

This new model was planned to coincide with the release of the "Classic Series Tomioka Silk Promotion Organization Limited Edition" Ref. HCC010J. The Ref. HCC010J is a model inspired by the Tomioka Silk Mill, a World Heritage Site, and the silk culture cultivated there, and features a new stamped dial pattern that expresses the fine texture and high quality of "Tomioka silk."
This stamped dial is also used in the three new regular models. The pattern is soft, with fine waves that repeatedly spread out and converge towards the center, and these waves represent the drape created by high-quality silk. When light hits it, a shimmering reflection is created on the surface of the dial, resulting in a richly expressive finish.
The "Shironeri" color further brings out the texture of this silk. Shironeri refers to the color of silk that has been refined from threads spun from cocoons produced by silkworms to achieve a pure white finish. The Ref. HCC001J, which uses Shironeri, has a tone close to pearl white or silver, resulting in a chic and classic dress watch design. It is paired with a 7-link stainless steel bracelet, and the design with short links ensures a comfortable fit.
