A special event, "SHO-ism Seiko | Shohei Ohtani - 10 Years Journey," commemorating the 10th anniversary of Shohei Ohtani's appointment as Seiko's brand ambassador, will be held in two venues, Tokyo and Osaka. The event will feature special content, including screenings of valuable interview footage taken over the past 10 years, displays of past advertising graphics, and exhibits of limited-edition models featuring Ohtani. In conjunction with the event, a special interview video looking back on Ohtani and Seiko's 10 years together, as well as a new commercial, "King Seiko 'The Newest Classic 2026'," will also be released.

Seiko will hold a commemorative event, "SHO-ism Seiko | Shohei Ohtani - 10 Years Journey," to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Los Angeles Dodgers player Shohei Ohtani's appointment as brand ambassador. The event will be held in two locations, Tokyo and Osaka, and will primarily feature an exhibition of Ohtani's words on "time," while looking back on the 10-year journey of Seiko and Ohtani.
To coincide with this event, a special interview video reflecting on Shohei Ohtani's 10-year collaboration with Seiko has been released since June 17th. In addition, a new commercial, "King Seiko 'The Newest Classic 2026'," has also been released.
2016, the year Shohei Ohtani became a Seiko ambassador, was a landmark year for him as a member of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, where he contributed to their championship victory as a two-way player (pitcher and hitter). He challenged himself in MLB from 2018, achieving success in both pitching and hitting, but also experiencing periods where injuries prevented him from fully utilizing his two-way abilities. In 2024, he moved to the Los Angeles Dodgers, focusing on hitting while continuing his pitching rehabilitation. He achieved the first-ever 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in MLB history, contributing to the team's World Series victory. In the 2025 season, he returned to pitching, once again demonstrating his presence as a two-way player in his own unique style.
Every pitch and hit by Ohtani inspires and encourages people all over the world. Starting in 2026, Seiko will welcome Ohtani as its global ambassador, expanding its reach to the world.

SHO-ism Seiko | Shohei Ohtani - 10 Years Journey looks back on the 10-year journey that Seiko has taken with Shohei Ohtani, and focuses on Ohtani's unwavering belief in "time," or "SHO-ism." The event will feature special content such as screenings of valuable interview footage taken over the past 10 years, advertising graphics for each of the "King Seiko," "Seiko Prospex," and "Seiko Astron" models, and displays of past limited-edition models featuring Ohtani.
The event will be held at two venues: Tokyo and Osaka. The Tokyo event will take place over three days, from July 3rd (Friday) to July 5th (Saturday), 2026, while the Osaka event will be held over two days, on August 1st (Saturday) and August 2nd (Sunday). Please note that admission to the Tokyo venue requires advance reservations.
In conjunction with this event, a special interview looking back on the past 10 years, "Seiko │ Shohei Ohtani 10 Years Special Interview," and a new commercial, "King Seiko 'The Newest Classic 2026'," will also be released.
