Armin Strom's "Orbit" model is now available in a striking "Midnight Purple" color.

Armin Strom has unveiled the Orbit Midnight Purple, a new variation of the Orbit, which features an on-demand date display mechanism. This mysterious timepiece boldly incorporates the brand's signature purple color into an openworked dial with an offset center time display. Only 20 pieces will be sold worldwide.

The purple color has an even stronger presence.

　Armin Strom will release the new "Orbit Midnight Purple" from the "Orbit" series, which belongs to the "System 78" collection, in a limited edition of 20 pieces worldwide.

　Armin Strom's "Orbit" is a timepiece featuring an innovative on-demand date display mechanism. By operating the pusher at the 10 o'clock position, the date hand, which is stationary in the neutral position at 12 o'clock, rotates to point to the correct date on the bezel's scale—a truly unique mechanism.

　A key feature of this new model is the bold use of the signature purple color on the dial, which reveals the mechanism. The offset center dial features a gradient from the center outwards, further highlighting the depth of the movement's structure.

　Furthermore, this model features the first-ever use of midnight purple on the movement's main plate. This emphasizes the visual continuity with the hour and minute display, and the frosted finish adds a textural contrast with the rhodium-plated components and hand-finished finger bridge.

　The movement continues to feature the in-house developed and manufactured Cal.ASS20. From the dial side, in addition to the meticulous hand-polished decoration, the column wheel and lever that control the movement of the date hand can be seen near the 10 o'clock position. Furthermore, the patented "Equal Force Barrel" ensures a stable energy supply and achieves a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.
