Breitling has unveiled the "Top Time B01 Eddy Merckx," a new model from its "Top Time" collection that pays tribute to legendary cyclist Eddy Merckx. Inspired by the jerseys only top players are allowed to wear, this striking watch features a vibrant yellow dial and will be limited to just 525 pieces worldwide, a number commemorating the cyclist's total number of victories.
The yellow jersey is dedicated to the heroes of the Tour de France.
Breitling has unveiled a new limited-edition model in its Top Time racing chronograph watch line, paying homage to legendary cyclist Eddy Merckx. This follows last year's Top Time Coppi and Top Time Bartali, which also focus on other great figures in the world of cycling.

The inspiration for this design comes from Eddy Merckx, a Belgian cyclist who dominated the professional cycling world from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s. He boasts a brilliant record of 525 wins in total, including 11 Grand Tours, 19 Monument Races, and 3 World Championships, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest cyclists of all time.
And when discussing his remarkable achievements, one cannot overlook his record of wearing the yellow jersey, the "Maillot Jaune," which is only worn by the overall leader, for a record-breaking 96 days. This new collection features a vibrant yellow as its theme color, reminiscent of that very Maillot Jaune. It brings a striking individuality to Top Time, which is characterized by its playful, vintage feel.
Inside, it houses the in-house Cal.01 movement. This is the brand's flagship movement, featuring a precise chronograph function thanks to its column wheel and vertical clutch, as well as a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and COSC-certified high precision. The transparent case back allows you to admire its operation and the rotation of the rotor.
The case is designed with a diameter of 41mm and a thickness of 13.3mm, and features 10 ATM water resistance and a domed, double-sided anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal, making it practical not only for racing but also for everyday use.
The strap for this model can be selected from either a black perforated leather strap with white stitching or a stainless steel mesh bracelet with a butterfly clasp.
