Maurice Lacroix has unveiled the "1975 Legacy" watch, a new timepiece that celebrates its connection to Seigne-Lesier, Switzerland, where the brand's manufacture is located. As an homage to two historical events—the independence of the Jura canton where Seigne-Lesier is situated—and the birth of the brand's first model, this special edition incorporates designs reminiscent of the nature and culture of the Jura region. It will be available in two colors, silver and slate gray, with each color limited to 500 pieces worldwide.

The "1975" collection, launched in 2025 to commemorate Maurice Lacroix's 50th anniversary, has released a new limited-edition model, the "1975 Legacy," in two variations.

These new collections inherit the worldview of "1975," which has its roots in "Les Classiqves" introduced in 1988, while also incorporating special designs that reflect the nature and culture of the Franche-Montagne region, the heart of the Seigne-Légier.
Particularly noteworthy is the adoption of a pattern called "Vagues du Jura" (Waves of Jura). The geometric pattern of regularly spaced curves represents the gently rolling hills of the Jura region surrounding the manufacture. In addition, the small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock is adorned with guilloché-style decoration, and the combination of gold-colored wedge-shaped indices and dauphine hands gives it an even more elegant appearance.
The case design largely follows that of the brand's "Masterpiece" collection. A satin finish is used as the base, with polished finishes to create a contrast in texture, and the case sides, which bulge in the center, have a vertical satin finish running from the dial side towards the case back.
Inside, it houses the Cal.ML158 movement, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The case back, which houses this movement, features the same "Jurasian wave" motif as the dial, and uses screws with heads that resemble the Swiss cross.
Furthermore, the leather strap, adorned with the brand logo, features an easy-change system that allows for one-touch attachment and detachment from the case. This means you can easily change the strap to match the occasion or your style without needing any tools.
