The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH) Tokyo Center will host the interactive exhibition "WATCH.SWISS" at the Central Hall on the 1st floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Department Store. The exhibition will run from August 5th (Wednesday) to August 18th (Tuesday), 2026. It will be an exhibition where visitors can experience not only Swiss watches, but also the traditions and aesthetics that Switzerland has cultivated.

The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH) Tokyo Center will host the interactive exhibition "WATCH.SWISS" from Wednesday, August 5th to Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, at the Central Hall on the 1st floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. Appearing as the main venue for the "29th Mitsukoshi World Watch Fair," this event will allow visitors to learn about the history, technology, and aesthetics of the Swiss watch industry, which has been passed down for over 400 years, through seven themes: "Switzerland," "Swiss Made," "Design," "History," "Precision," "Manufacturing," and "Complicated Watches."
The venue features iPad-equipped totems and touch-panel digital workbenches, each themed around a different concept. Visitors can experience the exquisite technology and craftsmanship of Swiss watchmaking by digitally assembling mechanical watch movements.
In addition, with the cooperation of the Swiss Embassy in Japan and the Swiss Tourism Board, a special salon space showcasing Swiss culture and lifestyle will be set up. The venue, which recreates a traditional chalet, will feature a library stocked with books on watches, an exhibit designed to resemble a watchmaker's workshop, and a coloring experience using art supplies from Caran d'Ache, a Swiss manufacturer of art supplies and luxury writing instruments.
A variety of events are planned for the weekends during the exhibition. On Saturday, August 8th, in addition to an alphorn performance, there will be a talk show featuring Paolo Lunardi, Director of the Swiss Tourism Japan Branch, and Ayako Nakano, Director of the Swiss Watch Federation FH Tokyo Center. On the following day, Sunday, August 9th, there will be a live painting performance by pen artist tanochi. Nespresso coffee and Swiss wine will also be available on weekends, allowing visitors to experience not only watches but also Swiss culture and hospitality with all their senses.
