Angel Clover is releasing a collaboration watch to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the manga series "Initial D".

Angel Clover, a brand developed by Ueni Trading, has announced a collaboration watch featuring the Fujiwara father and son to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the manga series "Initial D" by Shuichi Shigeno. Two mechanical models will be released, each inspired by the "Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86" and "Subaru Impreza WRX type R STi GC8," the cars beloved by the protagonist Takumi Fujiwara and his father, Bunta Fujiwara. Both are scheduled to go on sale from September 30, 2026 (Wednesday).

　Angel Clover, a fashion watch brand that advocates a playful "style," will release two limited-edition models in 2026 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Initial D," a manga series that began serialization in 1995.

　The brand has been sequentially releasing a collaboration series since the winter of 2025, drawing inspiration from the vehicles featured in the film. This latest release features the series' first automatic mechanical movement. The design is based on the Fujiwara father and son and their beloved car, which are symbolic of the film, resulting in a model befitting the conclusion of the anniversary year.

　What both watches have in common is an openwork dial that reveals the balance wheel. In addition, the design incorporates elements that show respect for motor culture, such as the placement of two sub-dials reminiscent of car instrument clusters. Both have a 45mm case diameter and feature a hybrid strap combining leather and silicone.

　The main character, Takumi Fujiwara, is modeled after the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86, commonly known as the "Hachiroku." The panda-like coloring, the carbon fiber bezel reminiscent of the car's hood, and the inclusion of the "86" index at the 12 o'clock position recreate the iconic look of this car that is the face of the series.

　Meanwhile, the model for his father, Bunta Fujiwara, is inspired by the Subaru Impreza WRX type R STi GC8. This model features a powerful look with a black stainless steel bezel and a blue-based dial. Gold accents reminiscent of the actual car's wheels are incorporated in various places, and the index at the 12 o'clock position has been replaced with the number "8," derived from the car's model number.

　As a purchase bonus, this item comes with an original coin keychain featuring a commemorative logo. Furthermore, the watch packaging is also specially designed with illustrations of each character and their respective cars, making it a highly desirable collectible for car and manga fans.
