Seiko Presage has announced a new collaboration model with TRADMAN'S BONSAI as part of its "Classic Series." This model represents a black pine bonsai illuminated by moonlight. The dial is a green color inspired by "pine needle green," a traditional color considered auspicious since ancient times, and features a newly developed stamped pattern inspired by the winding branches and cracked bark of the black pine. The indices, hour, minute, and second hands, case, and bracelet are finished in gold, representing the black pine illuminated by moonlight.

　Seiko Presage has announced a new limited-edition model in its "Classic Series," created in collaboration with TRADMAN'S BONSAI, an organization that promotes Japanese culture through bonsai. The design was inspired by a black pine bonsai illuminated by moonlight. The powerful beauty of the black pine, which thrives gracefully in harsh natural environments, is expressed through a design based on green and gold colors. This model will be released in Japan in a limited edition of 600 pieces.

　TRADMAN'S BONSAI is a bonsai group formed in 2015 by Teppei Kojima. They fuse bonsai with fashion, art, and other cultural elements, adding new value to traditional Japanese culture and disseminating it both domestically and internationally. This collaboration was realized with the aim of passing on traditional Japanese culture and crafts to future generations. In the announced limited edition model, Seiko and TRADMAN'S BONSAI engaged in dialogue, translating the scene of a black pine bonsai illuminated by moonlight into a wristwatch.

　The Japanese black pine is one of the most representative tree species for bonsai. In this piece, the powerful beauty of the black pine, which flexibly survives in the harsh natural environment, is expressed through a combination of green and gold colors. The dial features a dynamic stamped pattern newly developed for this piece. A line that undulates in an S-shape from the center depicts the winding branches and cracked bark of the black pine in a three-dimensional way. Furthermore, the curved dial, which is a characteristic of the Classic series, has been given a glossy finish to give the dial a three-dimensional effect.

　The dial color is a green inspired by the leaves of a black pine bonsai created by TRADMAN'S BONSAI and the traditional color "pine needle green," which has been considered an auspicious color since ancient times. The gradation of light and shadow expresses the pine needles illuminated by moonlight in the darkness of night.

　The gold-colored hands and indices are polished to a mirror finish, their shine representing moonlight. The stainless steel case and bracelet are also plated in yellow gold, and the contrast with the green dial creates a world of black pine trees illuminated by moonlight throughout the entire watch.

The interchangeable straps and case back also reflect the world of bonsai.

　A leather strap with an embossed pattern inspired by the bark of a Japanese black pine tree is included as a replacement. The end of the strap on the back is embossed with the leaves of the "three-pronged pine," which is considered a symbol of good fortune because it has three leaves.

　Furthermore, the case back of the domestically sold model features the TRADMAN'S BONSAI logo, along with the words "Limited Edition" and a serial number. It also comes in a special paulownia wood box and includes an original watch cloth and message card.
