Van Cleef & Arpels adds new jewelry pieces featuring two-tone sapphires to its sequin-motif "Palmil" collection.

Van Cleef & Arpels has added new pieces to its Palmille collection, which incorporates sequin-like designs, featuring either blue or pink sapphires. A total of eight variations are available, including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, with precious metals and gemstones arranged in a mesh pattern.

Sapphires forming a noble cascade

　Van Cleef & Arpels unveiled eight new pieces of mesh-like jewelry adorned with two-tone sapphires as part of its Palmire collection.

　Founded in 1978, Palmir is a jewelry collection featuring delicately linked gemstones in a mesh-like design that drapes beautifully against the skin. The latest additions expand the range of blue and pink sapphire variations introduced in 2015, with triple-strand necklaces, bracelets, and four-strand and single-strand earrings.

　Each piece features blue sapphires paired with 18K white gold and pink sapphires with warm 18K rose gold, creating a lively rhythm when combined with diamonds. Two of the earrings, in particular, are strikingly impressive, with the gemstones arranged to create a gradient of colors that deepen as they flow downwards.

　Each piece of jewelry reflects the savoir-faire cultivated within the brand. The two-tone sapphires are divided into three tones, and after careful examination of their color intensity, brilliance, and crystal purity, they are delicately set by hand by skilled craftsmen. Similarly, only diamonds that meet strict standards—DEF color and IF-VVS clarity—are selected. "DEF" color represents the top grade of perfect colorlessness, while "IF-VVS" clarity signifies the highest level of purity, making it difficult even for experts to detect flaws. This uncompromising selection of stones is what gives Palmir its overwhelming brilliance.
