Seiko Prospex has announced the "Divers 1965 Heritage Fan Select Limited Edition," a model whose design was chosen through a global fan vote. This fan vote was held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Seiko's diver's watch and was a large-scale event that gathered votes from all over the world.
The candidates were four designs, each expressing the changing scenery of the sea from sunrise to sunset with a different color scheme. The design that received the most votes was the "Daytime Blue" design of this model. This design is based on a vibrant blue reminiscent of the clear sea illuminated by the sunlight rising high in the sky from sunrise to noon, and features a stamped pattern on the dial that resembles the surface of the sea.
