Richard Mille Japan has announced that American professional golfer Bubba Watson will participate in the "Richard Mille Charity Tournament 2026," a men's professional golf tour co-hosted with the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO). The second annual tournament will be held over four days, from Thursday, September 24th to Sunday, September 27th, 2026, at Tokinodai Country Club in Hakui City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and will feature 144 professional golfers.

Bubba Watson, whose participation has now been confirmed, is a member of the Richard Mille family and will be coming to Japan to take part in this tournament. Known as one of the world's top left-handed golfers, he is famous for his pink-shafted driver and his incredible driving distance, while also being actively involved in charity work.
Bubba Watson established the "Bubba Watson Foundation" in 2014, primarily supporting organizations that assist children and their families. This stance aligns with Richard Mille Japan's commitment to supporting social contribution activities. Regarding his participation in this tournament, Bubba Watson commented, "It's an event with a wonderful purpose, and I'm sure it will be a fun time." He also expressed his determination to play with the goal of winning.

As the name suggests, the Richard Mille Charity Tournament 2026 will combine a golf tournament with various charity activities. Richard Mille and the JGTO will collaborate to support areas affected by the 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and heavy rains and the 8 Kumamoto Earthquake, as well as to nurture junior golfers. In addition, at the request of the Japan Golf Tour Players Association, 5% of the prize money will be donated to disaster relief efforts. Donations collected during the tournament will also be delivered to Ishikawa and Kumamoto prefectures through the Richard Mille Japan Foundation.
Furthermore, admission will be free so that more people can watch the tournament. Tickets will be available through pre-registration, and one of the tournament's objectives is to contribute to the revitalization of local businesses by attracting a large number of visitors.
