Casio introduces the compact and lightweight "PRJ-01" to its "Pro Trek" series.
Casio's "Pro Trek" series introduces the "PRJ-01," a casual three-hand model suitable for a wide range of uses, from outdoor activities to daily wear. A key feature of this model is its rotary guard bezel, which reveals the crown (normally hidden) by rotating the bezel 45 degrees. The "PRJ-01AE" also comes with a carabiner attachment for attaching to backpacks and other items.

Pro Trek is Casio's outdoor watch collection that supports activities in nature, such as mountain climbing and trekking. The newly released PRJ-01 is a model designed for light outdoor use, combining readability and ease of use with a design that blends seamlessly into everyday life. The case measures 44.4mm in height, 39.1mm in width, and 11.6mm in thickness, making it compact compared to many of the larger Pro Trek models, and a size that suits a wide range of users. It also weighs only 32g, making it extremely lightweight.
A notable feature of this model is the rotary guard bezel. The crown is located at the 4:30 position, and under normal use, the crown is hidden by the bezel, preventing accidental operation. Rotating the bezel 45° reveals the crown, allowing you to set the time and date. Furthermore, a color indicator that moves in conjunction with the bezel's rotation allows you to see the locked and unlocked status at a glance. The structure, which changes its appearance in accordance with the operation, incorporates intuitive ease of use and a playful touch.

A three-hand model with a fully luminous dial and solar power.
The dial features a simple three-hand design with a date display. In addition to a high-contrast color scheme that highlights each hand and indice, it utilizes a fully luminous white dial. This design allows the entire dial to glow when exposed to light from sources such as a mountaineering headlamp, making it useful for checking the time during night hikes or inside a tent.

It features a highly efficient light-powered quartz movement that can generate electricity even from fluorescent light, and boasts a power reserve of approximately 5 months on a full charge.
It can be worn on the arm, and can also be attached to a backpack.
The included biomass plastic strap also incorporates features designed to enhance ease of use when worn. A new structure allows the excess portion to be tucked inside, resulting in a cleaner look and minimizing interference with the cuffs. Furthermore, the pass-through design allows for attachment and detachment of the strap without the need for tools.

Furthermore, the two PRJ-01AE models come with a replacement carabiner attachment. By replacing the standard strap, it can be attached to backpacks, clothing, and other equipment. You can choose to wear it on your arm or attach it to your equipment depending on your outfit and activities for the day.

The color schemes come in three variations: Ref.PRJ-01-1JF, which combines black and yellow; Ref.PRJ-01AE-7JR, which combines white and orange; and Ref.PRJ-01AE-8JR, which combines gray and light blue. All three are characterized by a simple base color with a pop of color as an accent.
