Junghans introduces its new sports watch series, "Aquaris".

Junghans has announced the Aquaris, a new sports watch series featuring 50 ATM water resistance, an inner rotating bezel, and a cushion-shaped stainless steel case. The series will consist of four models: two Aquaris Diver models designed for diving, and two Aquaris Blue and Aquaris Red models with vibrant dials.

A cushion-shaped case with 50 ATM water resistance and two crowns.

The Aquaris case is quite large, measuring 46.9mm from the 9 o'clock position to the crown guard and 14.5mm thick. Two screw-down crowns are positioned on the 3 o'clock side of the case, flanking the central crown guard. The crown at 4 o'clock, engraved with the Junghans star, is responsible for winding the movement and adjusting the time. The crown at 2 o'clock, engraved with a school of fish, operates the inner rotating bezel located inside the crystal. The bezel also features a unidirectional rotation prevention function, meaning it only rotates counterclockwise.

This model, featuring a large crown guard at the 3 o'clock position, is quite large, measuring 46.9mm from the 9 o'clock position to the crown guard and 14.5mm thick. Two screw-down crowns are positioned on either side of the crown guard.

The "Aquaris Diver" prioritizes visibility during diving, while the "Aquaris Blue" and "Aquaris Red" offer a range of colors to enjoy.

While the four models share basic specifications, they each have different appearances due to the design of their dials, hands, and rotating bezels. The Aquaris Diver features a matte dark gray dial, and the hour and minute hands and applied indices are coated with X1 grade luminous paint that glows green, ensuring high visibility even in dark underwater environments.

The inner rotating bezel is highlighted in green or orange for the first 15 minutes, adding a design accent. The arrow-shaped minute hand is also outlined in the same color at its tip, making the minute display, which is crucial for time management while diving, stand out. The case back features a three-dimensional relief of a school of fish, symbolizing a connection to the sea.

Meanwhile, the Aquaris Blue and Aquaris Red feature a sunray-brushed blue or red dial paired with a matching matte lacquer inner rotating bezel. Their distinctive features include the vibrant blue and red hues, and the way the dial's shimmer changes depending on the light. The hands have a strong, linear shape, resulting in a modern, sporty watch design. Furthermore, the case backs of both models are engraved with a diver motif.

While sharing the basic design with the Aquaris Diver, the Aquaris Red and Aquaris Blue feature changes to the dial finish, hands, and bezel, resulting in a modern and urban look.

A specially designed automatic movement with measures to protect against magnetic fields.

All models are equipped with the Junghans-exclusive automatic movement, Cal. J830. It features Junghans' uniquely designed bridges and rotor, and is finished with rhodium plating. For this model, a structure has been adopted in which the movement is encased in a shield made of a special soft iron alloy, protecting the movement from magnetic fields that can affect accuracy.

Two types of bracelet extension functions and replacement straps

Each model features a three-link stainless steel bracelet combining brushed and polished finishes, and the buckle has two extension functions that allow you to change the length depending on the situation. One is a folding extension that allows for a 26mm extension. The other is Junghans' unique grid adjustment function that allows for a 22mm extension even when the buckle is closed. In addition, the buckle's security flap uses a click ball lock with a ceramic ball to prevent the buckle from opening unintentionally.

Furthermore, a double-pin quick-release mechanism allows for easy swapping of the bracelet and strap. The Aquaris Diver comes with a black rubber strap for the green bezel model and an orange rubber strap for the orange bezel model. The Aquaris Blue comes with a blue rubber strap, and the Aquaris Red comes with a black rubber strap, each paired with a stainless steel folding buckle.
