Casio has added a biomass plastic strap model to its G-SHOCK "G-STEEL GST-B1000" series, which is characterized by its sharp design and metallic texture. By combining a carbon fiber reinforced resin case with a sharp stainless steel bezel and a biomass plastic strap, the watch is designed to be suitable for both business suits and casual styles.

A new model of the G-SHOCK "G-STEEL GST-B1000" with a biomass plastic strap is now available.
Casio has released a new model in its G-SHOCK "G-STEEL" series, the "GST-B1000," featuring a biomass plastic strap. While inheriting the minimalist design of the "GST-B1000D" released in 2025, the biomass plastic strap provides a lighter and more comfortable fit.
G-STEEL is a series that combines the shock resistance of G-SHOCK with the texture of metal. Since its inception in 2015, it has featured robust and powerful designs, but the GST-B1000D achieves a lighter and thinner design while maintaining toughness. It also features a stainless steel bezel with the logo and function markings removed, highlighting the sharp form and metallic texture. Its outline and brick pattern on the dial incorporate design elements from the original G-SHOCK "DW-5000C," achieving a balance between sportiness and a refined appearance that suits a wide range of outfits.
The new model combines a metal exterior with a soft, biomass plastic strap that conforms to the wrist. The metallic, high-quality feel, combined with comfortable wear and an active look, makes it suitable for everything from business settings to weekend activities.
Two dial options are available: black and blue. The Ref. GST-B1000-1AJF features a sharp and refined black dial. The Ref. GST-B1000-2AJF, on the other hand, has a blue vapor deposition finish, resulting in a blue dial with a sense of depth that changes depending on the angle of the light.

Tough Solar. Approximately 18 months of operation on a full charge (in power-saving mode). Stainless steel and carbon fiber reinforced resin case (46.9mm x 44.2mm, 11.6mm thick). 20 ATM water resistance. 60,500 yen each (tax included).
It features a slim and lightweight exterior, along with a shock-resistant structure and practical functions.
The shock resistance of a G-SHOCK is supported by the Carbon Core Guard structure, which protects the internal module with a carbon fiber reinforced resin case. A stainless steel bezel covers the outside, protecting it from external impacts.

Furthermore, by incorporating a small module and adopting a method of bonding and securing the crystal, the case thickness has been kept to 11.6mm while maintaining shock resistance. In addition, biomass plastic is used for the main resin parts of the case and strap, reducing the environmental impact.
In terms of functionality, it features Tough Solar power and Bluetooth mobile link capabilities. By connecting to a smartphone via the dedicated "CASIO WATCHES" app, users can access features such as automatic time correction, various settings, and phone finder. Furthermore, it boasts a full range of functions including a stopwatch, timer, alarm, and date/day display.
