From Thursday, October 1st to Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, Jaeger-LeCoultre will host an experiential event, "The Valley of Inventions," at Roppongi Hills Cafe in Tokyo. Focusing on the natural and cultural background of the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland, the brand's birthplace, the event offers a sensory experience of the brand's long-standing tradition of technical expertise and pursuit of precision.
At the venue, visitors can admire up close the delicate enamel decoration and complex mechanism assembly work by visiting watchmakers and craftsmen from the Métiers-Arts workshop. As part of the "Made of Makers" program, they can also enjoy the fusion of watchmaking and culinary artistry through a limited-edition cheese bite devised by two-Michelin-starred chef Gilles Valhone.
The exhibition is organized into four themes: "Chronometry," "Tourbillon," "Multi-axis Tourbillon," and "Complications," showcasing the history of precision pursuit and technological innovation. Rare new and exceptional pieces, including the "Master Hybris Mechanica Ultra-Slim Minute Repeater" and "Vallée des Merveilles," will be on display.

"Why do inventions come about? Unraveling the 'Valley of Invention'"
Jaeger-LeCoultre's inventions stemmed from the wisdom, curiosity, and ingenuity born out of necessity in the harsh environment of the Vallée de Joux, and this spirit has been passed down for over 190 years. This inventive spirit is driven by the pursuit of "making it more accurate," "making it easier to use," "making it more beautiful," and "how to achieve this." This legacy continues to this day, with Hamaguchi at the forefront, developing new technologies... Hirota delves into the cutting edge of this development.
Application deadline: Friday, September 18, 2026, 23:59
