The "2 Seconds Exhibition" was inspired by the mysterious mechanism of the "stop2go" watch, a product of Mondaine, the official Swiss Federal Railways watch, in which the second hand stops for two seconds every minute. A joint project between Mondaine Japan and JDN (Japan Design Net), a two-week limited gallery will be held to "consider the moment of two seconds" together with creators.
The "Swiss Federal Railways Official Railway Clock," released in 1986, can still be seen in over 3,000 Swiss Federal Railways stations. This famous clock features a unique "Stop To Go" function. The second hand completes one revolution in 58 seconds, stops at the 12 o'clock position for approximately two seconds, then advances the minute hand by one minute, and then starts moving again. As a watch symbolizing the Swiss Federal Railways' punctual rail operations, its high level of precision is appreciated by people around the world. The Mondaine "Swiss Federal Railways Official Railway Watch" is a wristwatch that faithfully reproduces the concept of the clock.
