Ulysse Nardin has announced the new Hourstriker Classic Samurai.
The Hourstriker Classic Samurai can be programmed to chime the time every hour or every 30 minutes, depending on the customer's preference. Each time the hammer strikes a gong, the automatons Musashi and Kojiro engage in an epic battle. On the left side of the dial stands Miyamoto Musashi, who is known for wielding both a short sword and a long one, while on the right is Sasaki Kojiro. Of particular note is the faithful reproduction of Sasaki Kojiro's unique sword grip during his signature move, the "Tsubame Gaeshi."
The dial of the Ulysse Nardin Hourstriker Classic Samurai features a three-dimensional sculpture that beautifully recreates the famous "Duel on Ganryu Island" between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro in great detail.
