During the "Richard Mille Suzuka Sound of Engine 2018" event held from November 17th (Sat) to 18th (Sun), Richard Mille announced a Japan-exclusive model of the RM 030. The RM 030 is popular for its unique functions and perfect size, and has previously released Japan-exclusive models, with this being the third in the series.
The distinctive black and white case, captivating the viewer, is crafted by combining white Quartz TPT® and Carbon TPT®, materials known for their heat resistance, strength, and electromagnetic transparency. Crafted by Richard Mille's ProArt case factory, the case itself features a unique pattern created by the random interplay of Quartz TPT® and Carbon TPT® layers, resulting in a unique design for each case. The watch also features a patent-pending declutchable rotor automatic winding mechanism. This mechanism is linked to the power reserve, automatically switching the display at 12 o'clock to OFF and the rotor spinning freely when the remaining winding time exceeds approximately 50 hours. Furthermore, when the power reserve drops below approximately 40 hours, the display switches ON and a clutch resumes winding the rotor, making this a groundbreaking mechanism.
