TIMEX, a long-established American watch manufacturer celebrating its 165th anniversary, will be releasing its American Documents™ collection at the TIMEX TOKYO STORE in Harajuku, Tokyo.

The "American Documents" collection is made with parts sourced and manufactured in the United States, assembled in a newly built workshop at TIMEX's headquarters in Middlebury, Connecticut, and hand-finished, assembled, and inspected by the company's artisans. This marks the first time in nearly 50 years that TIMEX has produced a special collection in the United States. The watches are manufactured in the United States using American-made machinery, and since there are currently no movements that meet TIMEX's standards, they use Swiss-made movements, which are highly reliable and have a proven track record in terms of accuracy and maintenance. Timex also plans to develop and sell mechanical movements in the future.
*The country of origin is written alongside the dial and case back: "MADE IN AMERICA | SWISS MOV'T."

All of the watch parts used in "American Documents" are made in the USA. Of particular note are the brass parts fitted into the stainless steel case back forged in Connecticut. Each part is hand-polished to pay homage to the 19th century when Waterbury, Connecticut, where the company was founded, earned the name "Brass City" throughout the United States for its brass industry.
