Jaeger-LeCoultre has entered into its 15th partnership with the Venice International Film Festival, one of the world's three major film festivals. What kind of watch will Jaeger-LeCoultre present to the winners?
2019 Venice International Film Festival
The event will be held from August 29th to September 8th, and will also feature special screenings of the latest Japanese films over the two days.
As a main sponsor of the Venice Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre will not only be present at the festival's main events, but will also be dressing the stars with its finest timepieces, and the winners of prestigious awards such as Best Film (Golden Lion), Best Actor and Best Actress (Volpi Trophy), and the Honorary Golden Lion (Special Achievement Award) will be presented with personalized Reverso watches. The customized watches will be hand-engraved in Jaeger-LeCoultre's workshops with the lion, which is part of the iconic official logo of the Venice Film Festival, and the inscription "76. Mostra."
Every year, Jaeger-LeCoultre honours the creativity of outstanding filmmakers with the Glory to the Filmmaker Award, bestowing it on someone who, in the words of festival director Alberto Barbera, has "brought great innovation to contemporary cinema".
