Hong Kong is the largest watch market not only in Asia but also in the world. The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair, which is held annually in Hong Kong, will be held again in 2019 from Tuesday, September 3rd to Saturday, September 7th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
When it first began, the fair was merely a B2B exhibition for watchmakers, but it has expanded in size every year, and in 2018 it attracted approximately 840 exhibitors from 23 countries and 1000 buyers, making it one of the world's largest watch fairs.
The main attraction of this 38th fair is the "Salon de TE," which is divided into five themes. The most prominent among these is the section called "World Brand Piazza," where 13 "famous international brands" including Blancpain, Zenith, and Chopard are lined up.
Other sections of Salon de TE include "Chic & Trendy," which displays highly fashionable watches; "Craft Treasure," which displays mechanical watches and jewelry watches from brands such as Memorigin; "Resonance Moment," which brings together brands by independent watchmakers and classic European watches; and "Wearable Tech," a watch corner featuring smartwatches and other cutting-edge technology.
In addition, a number of events such as business seminars and conferences for stakeholders are scheduled to be held during the event.
The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is an event for buyers, and visitors must register and obtain a free admission e-badge to enter. However, Salon de TE will be open to the general public free of charge on Saturday, September 7th, the final day of the fair.
