German watch brand Stowa has released a new model, the "Antea Bauhaus 100th Anniversary Model." Inspired by the Bauhaus style of the 1930s, the watch is characterized by its minimalist design and high functionality. At the end of last year, Stowa's CEO, designer, and watch builder, Jörg Schauer, released the first "Antea Japan Limited Edition" with Roman numerals as a homage to the Bauhaus. In response to numerous requests, the second model, with Arabic numerals, has now been released. This three-hand watch with a blued steel finish is perfectly in keeping with Schauer's modernist aesthetic.
Founded in Pforzheim, Germany in 1927, Stowa is a brand that supplied pilot watches to the German Air Force during World War II. Due to the rise of quartz watches, the brand went dormant in the 1970s, but resumed sales in 2004.
Stowa primarily sells products online, and the Antea Bauhaus 100th Anniversary Model will only be available in stores at Tick Tack affiliated stores nationwide.
