Kamen Rider Zero-One is set in Japan in the near future. The series' protagonist, Aruto Hiden, is the president of a company that deals with cutting-edge technology such as AI. The story revolves around Aruto becoming Kamen Rider and battling out-of-control AI robots, with AI being one of the major themes of the series.
Coincidentally, the name of the AI that first defeated a human world champion in chess in 1997 was also "Deep Blue." Furthermore, "Raider Deep Blue" has a retro-futuristic appearance inspired by the future designs people envisioned in the 70s, which matches the near-future setting of "Kamen Rider Zero-One."
