Richard Mille, which has supported the Alfa Romeo Racing Team since 2018, unveiled its latest creation, the RM 50-04 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Kimi Räikkönen, at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix. The RM 50-04's extraordinarily high-tech caliber features a split-seconds chronograph tourbillon, and its movement, crafted from grade 5 titanium and Carbon TPT®, weighs just 7g.
A monster machine with extraordinary shock resistance of 5000G
The white livery of the Alfa Romeo Racing Team's C38 Formula 1 car is echoed in the White Quartz TPT® bezel and caseback. White Quartz TPT® is achieved by layering 600 45-micron-thick layers of silicon, which are then infiltrated with a white matrix before being heated to 120°C in a pressurized chamber. White Quartz TPT® was developed by NorthSimply Technology (NTPT™). This manufacturing process results in highly desirable properties, including a high resistance to weight ratio, hypoallergenicity, and UV resistance.
The monster that is Kimi Raikkonen
Kimi Raikkonen, the 39-year-old "Iceman," was World Champion in 2003 and 2005, and was crowned World Champion in 2007. Making his 307th start at the Singapore Grand Prix, the 39-year-old "Iceman" has enjoyed an exceptionally long driving career, having finished on the podium 103 times in 18 years, including 21 wins.
