RJ (Romain Jerome) was relaunched in 2018 at the RJ studio in Geneva, Switzerland, under the direction of Marco Tedeschi. Its approach is innovative and unique.
RJ has made its mark in the world of modern watchmaking by releasing a series of collaborative watches inspired by pop culture icons, from superheroes from DC Comics and Marvel, such as Batman, Spider-Man, Super Mario Bros., and Pac-Man, to beloved characters from video games. Even if you're not a watch enthusiast, you'll find the brilliant fusion of seemingly opposing elements - pop icons and luxury watches - fascinating.
RJ is also known for its DNA concept watch series, which uses unique materials that evoke a sense of history when worn, such as real moon dust brought back by Apollo 11 and steel from the Titanic.
A timepiece that encapsulates the world of Spider-Man
Spider-Man first appeared in Marvel Comics' "Amazing Fantasy" in 1962. He is a superhero who has been loved throughout the ages, appearing in comics, animation, and movies.
Even if you're not a die-hard fan, you've probably heard the catchphrase "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" and the line "With great power comes great responsibility."
Looking at this timepiece, it is clear that RJ is placing importance on the worldview of the work in its collaboration with Spider-Man. Marco Tedeschi, CEO and Creative Director of RJ, said:

The Arrow Spider-Man is a unique watch with designs and silhouettes that are directly inspired by superheroes and their worldview, such as the spider web-shaped dial.
One of the key features of the RJ ARRAW series is the RJ Bumper™ and its ingenious interchangeable strap system. The strap can be removed with a single touch by pressing the screw on the lug, and the folding buckle can be replaced by simply pressing a lever without the need for tools.
The choice of materials has also been carefully considered: the Arrow Spider-Man strap is made of black polyamide, evoking the texture of Spider-Man's suit.
