Tonneau is a French word meaning a large barrel used to hold alcohol. The Tissot Porto, with its barrel-like shape and soft curves, captures the hearts of people with its sweet taste, reminiscent of port wine. This year marks the 100th anniversary of this historic timepiece, and it is being reissued in five different styles, each equipped with a mechanical or quartz movement.
Tissot Heritage Porto

The Tissot Porte was created in 1919 during the heyday of Art Deco.
The Tissot Porto is a barrel-shaped tonneau-shaped timepiece with a beautiful dial featuring charming, geometrically curved Arabic numerals, a design that was only available to Tissot at the time. The name comes from the port city of Porto, located in the north of Portugal, which was once the largest trading hub and cultural center of Europe, and was a major exporter of port wine, one of the world's three great fortified wines, made from grapes grown in the Douro Valley.
The revived "Tissot Heritage Porto" is a commemorative reproduction model marking 100 years of history, faithfully reproducing the details of the original.

This mechanical three-hand model features a classic and elegant balance of Poire Stuart hands and Arabic numeral indexes, while the small seconds dial with a railway track adds to the nostalgic atmosphere of the original. While a men's model, the exquisite size of the tonneau case and delicate strap, along with the distinctive lugs, ensure a comfortable fit. The boyfriend size adds an accent to any outfit, making this a timepiece that is also accessible to women.
