Founded in Havana in 1882, Cuervo y Sobrinos takes pride in its Latin culture and heritage, which is also its identity, and since 2003 has presented the Latino International Award to honor Latinos who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their respective fields.
Carlos Acosta wins the 2019 Latino Award
The secondary prize is "Prominente Tocororo" (Prominente Tocororo).
The prize winner received the limited edition "Prominente Tocororo" from Cuervo y Sobrinos, a patriotic model featuring the Cuban national bird, the Tocororo. Carlos Acosta's choreography and his first performance as a star were both part of a dance theater piece called "Tocororo," so the two are a perfect match. The dial features the logo of Acosta's dance company. Of course, the box can also be used as a cigar case.
