Thirty-eight examples of the classic Minerva caliber, Cal. MB M62.00, produced in 2003, were discovered at the Manufacture in Villeret. Now, a new model equipped with this rare caliber will be released in a limited run of 38 pieces from the Montblanc Heritage Collection: the Montblanc Heritage Small Seconds Limited Edition 38.
The Cal.MB M62.00 is a movement that was released in 2003, inheriting the design of the Minerva's "Pythagoras Caliber," manufactured in 1948, but with a more high-end finish. It features a traditional low beat rate of 18,000 vibrations per hour. This classic hand-wound movement, with regulation not only by regulator but also by a balance screw on the balance wheel, uses rhodium-plated German silver for both the plate and bridges. The bridges are also decorated with Côtes de Genève, creating a beautiful finish that is sure to catch your eye.
The dial is salmon, typical of the Heritage collection, with the small seconds and minute markers in a contrasting blue. Furthermore, the Arabic numerals, indexes, dots, and hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova, a first for the Heritage collection, making them legible even in the dark.
Additionally, the Minerva signature is engraved between 4 and 5 o'clock, and the back case is engraved with "Historical Minerva movement," making this an even more rare and exceptional piece.
