Paying homage to the traditions of watchmaking in Glashütte, Saxony, and celebrating its artistry, the 12 timepieces will be auctioned alongside paintings by Dresden artists who have interpreted the 12 zodiac signs on the dials in various ways. Their artworks have been perfectly executed in detail by miniature artists.

Collections and highlights

The highlight of the collection is the RAT One, modeled in an 18K gold case. The RAT One represents 2020, the Year of the Rat in the Chinese zodiac. In the Chinese zodiac, the rat is a symbol of intelligence, endowed with foresight and keen intuition. Other models are housed in high-quality stainless steel cases. All models are powered by the highly artistically finished Caliber 100.1, which can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. The movement is made of hand-finished German silver components and assembled with Grossmann's signature brace structure. The two-thirds plate, featuring a broad ribbed pattern, is hand-engraved with the brand name, and the plate is semicircularly cut to reveal the balance wheel. The stepped balance cock with Grossmann precision adjustment screws is also hand-engraved.
