The dial with its three-dimensional thorny texture represents human desire.
Food artist Ayako Suwa believes that even though food may be poisonous or thorny, it still possesses a powerful beauty and deliciousness that makes people instinctively reach for it. Combining her passion for Japanese food culture and the designs born from nature, she adopted the concept of pufferfish thorns for the True Thinline. By incorporating the thorn design into the watch's dial and hands, she hoped to enhance the inner beauty of the wearer. The watch was named True Thinline Toge. The gold hands, scanned from the actual thorns growing on pufferfish skin, and the dial, featuring a three-dimensional thorny texture, evoke the deadly poison of pufferfish and the human desire to still savor it.
