2019 Import Watch of the Year Awards Decided

The model that a qualified watch coordinator would most like to recommend to customers and friends

　The Japan Watch Importers Association, a general incorporated association, accepted votes from certified watch coordinators (abbreviated as CWC, 2338 people as of November 2019, including advanced CWCs) based on the simple question, "Which imported watch model would you most like to recommend to your customers and friends?" among those released on the market within the past year, and decided the men's and women's grand prize winners.

The men's category went to the Omega Speedmaster

　The Omega Speedmaster was awarded the prize for its rarity, limited to only 1014 pieces worldwide, and the attractive caliber 3861, which has evolved into a Master Chronometer, and for its cam-operated movement, the sophisticated gold of the indexes and hands, the painting on the small second hand, the footprint on the case back, and even the box are all wonderful.

Omega Constellation wins the ladies' category

　The ladies' Omega Constellation has been recommended for reasons such as "It is Omega's first ladies' model equipped with a Master Chronometer," "The beautifully shining dial matches the constellation concept of the Constellation and gives it a romantic feel," and "It has been redesigned to be even more elegant." These are recommendations that can only be made by a watch coordinator who is well-versed in watches and the needs of users.

Omega also won the "Most Shining Brand Award" for the year

　Watch coordinators were asked to vote for the brand they felt was bringing the most vitality to the watch industry, based on a variety of perspectives, including not only the brand's products but also its communication and distribution policies. Omega was also selected for the "Most Shining Brand Award," marking the second year in a row that Omega has been selected for this award.
