Jaeger-LeCoultre releases the Atmos Transparent, a unique air-powered table clock.
Jaeger-LeCoultre "Atmos Transparent"

The sapphire crystal dial makes the indexes and hands appear to float. Combined with its unique operating method, this model gives off an even more mystical impression. Mechanical (Cal. 563). Crystal glass cabinet (height 250mm x width 185mm x depth 145mm). Price: 1,004,000 yen (excluding tax).
A model that embodies Jaeger-LeCoultre's goal of "combining mechanical precision with aesthetic precision."
The mechanism is that a gas mixture sealed in a sealed capsule expands and contracts with temperature changes, and this movement causes a chain attached to the capsule to pull the mainspring, storing power. A temperature change of 1 degree stores enough energy to operate the watch for about two days, and unless it is in a special environment where the temperature is controlled to a constant level, it can continue to operate semi-permanently.

The Atmos was developed in 1928 and first sold in the 30s. Despite its unique mechanism, it has a long history. To this day, the Atmos has been presented as an official gift of the Swiss Confederation to presidents, prime ministers, artists, bishops, and others from around the world. This is likely because the Atmos was recognized as a worthy table clock representing Switzerland, not only for its technical merits but also for its beauty.
The newly released Atmos Transparent takes this beauty even further. What catches the eye are the indices and hands that appear to float on the dial. Because the dial is made of sapphire crystal, the black indices give the illusion of floating in mid-air. The movement's gear train can be seen through the dial, and both the indices and hands are thick and clearly designed, making it easy to read the time.

The Atmos Transparent is a model that expresses the new charm of Atmos and is sure to be loved by celebrities around the world.
