[2020 New Watch] Breguet "Classique 7337"

　The Classique collection, imbued with timeless elegance, is perhaps the purest expression of Breguet style. This time, Breguet has breathed new life into the Classique 7337, inspired by historic timepieces, by using traditional guilloching, one of the brand's specialties.

　The dial of the newly introduced "Classique 7337" features a wheat-grain pattern called "Glendorge" around the edge of the hour chapter ring, a checkered "Damier" pattern on the small seconds, and a "Clous de Paris" pattern in the center. The lacquered sky of the moon phase display is punctuated by engraved clouds, and the shining dots evoke the galaxy. Breguet has also redesigned the gold disc representing the moon, combining shiny and matte finishes to create a three-dimensional moon relief. The layout, with the day of the week display at 10 o'clock and the date display at 2 o'clock, is reminiscent of the style of historic pocket watches such as the "No. 3833."

Breguet is committed to thinness

　While the current "Classic 7337" has a solid case back, the new "Classic 7337" has a sapphire case back that reveals the hand-decorated, ultra-thin automatic caliber 502.3, the same ultra-thin automatic movement as the current model, equipped with a silicon flat balance spring.

　From the end of the 1930s, Breguet began to reintroduce classic pocket watch design codes, such as guilloching and fluted caseband decorations, into wristwatches, a trend that was solidified in the collection that would come to be called the "Classique" between 1950 and 1970.
