MONTBLANC × The Chain Museum
The Chain Museum is a new project launched by Masamichi Toyama and PARTY to "create the next form of art." By combining business and technology, the project aims to transform the relationship between art and individuals, making art more autonomous and free. Through various activities, the project continues to propose new relationships between art and people.

The artists exhibiting their works this time are Ozu Wataru and Kasetsu. Ozu Wataru has earned high praise for his still life paintings, which explore the relationship between painting and motif while reconsidering the oriental pictorial space, dividing the "top and bottom" of the canvas into "foreground and background."

Meanwhile, calligrapher Kasetsu has meticulously researched the origins of characters and is working to create works that express the intersection of modern phenomena through single kanji characters, as well as holding workshops both in Japan and overseas with the theme of "exploring the possibilities of expression using characters." Both artists will be exhibiting new works selected by The Chain Museum for this MONTBLANC × The Chain Museum event for the first time.
Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1975. Calligrapher. Graduated from Ritsumeikan University, College of Letters, Department of Philosophy, Majoring in Psychology. Since 92, he has focused on solo exhibitions. He meticulously researches the origins of characters and creates works that express the intersection of these characters with contemporary phenomena through single kanji characters. He also holds workshops both in Japan and abroad on the theme of "exploring the possibilities of expression using characters." His publications include "ATO Trace" (between the books) and "The Living Place of Calligraphy" (Akaaka Art Publishing). In addition to his work as an artist, he has also worked on many book titles, including "Collection: War x Literature" (Shueisha) and "Ishihara Shintaro's Literature" (Bungeishunju). His works are housed in collections such as the Takahashi Collection (Tokyo), Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum (Shizuoka), and Utsuwa Nanohana (Kanagawa).
