Ressence Watch Design Contest
Ressence and Sotheby's watch department have joined forces to fight the COVID-19 pandemic by hosting a competition to design a one-of-a-kind watch. For the first time, watch enthusiasts will be invited to freely customize Ressence's latest model, the Type 1 Slim, which will then be produced and sold at auction. Proceeds from the auction will support a Belgian university's Covid-1 research program. This project will see participants' creativity contribute to medical research.
Contest application period and details
The contest will be open from April 28th (10pm Japan time) to May 12th (10pm Japan time). The winning design will be selected by Belgian designer and Ressence founder Benoît Mintiens in consultation with the Ressence watchmakers who will actually be creating the watches. The winner's name will also be engraved on the finished case.
