Parmigiani Fleurier has unveiled the Tonda 1950 Moonbow, a flying tourbillon with an iridescent bezel encircling an aventurine dial. Moonbow refers to a moonbow, and in some regions it is said that those who see it will be blessed with good fortune.

The Tonda 1950 Moonbow features a moonbow on the bezel and a spiral galaxy on the dial. A moonbow is a mysterious phenomenon that can only be seen with keen observation, as its colors are faint due to the weak light it emits.
The moonbow that brings happiness
The flying tourbillon, located at 7 o'clock, evokes a spiral galaxy floating in space, surrounded by aventurine stars and rotating precisely once every 60 seconds. The ultra-thin Tonda 1950 model and the tourbillon's placement at 7 o'clock are a tribute to founder Michel Parmigiani, who was born at 7:08 AM on December 2, 1950. In developing a thin tourbillon movement, a challenge for watchmakers, Parmigiani Fleurier integrated a platinum micro-rotor into the movement plate, achieving an ultra-thin movement of just 3.4 mm. The movement is beautifully decorated by hand, even in its invisible components.
