What is a Head Up Display, abbreviated as "HUD"?
A heads-up display, also known as HUD, is a transparent glass screen that displays all the critical information a pilot needs. HUDs project digital data onto the windshield, giving pilots instant access to a wide range of information, from the horizon to altitude, speed, and the flight path vector, which shows the direction the plane is heading. Originally used in the military in the 1950s, HUDs are now also used in commercial airliners and the automotive industry.
Putting a fighter jet's head-up display into a wristwatch
The black matte ceramic case, which balances a "circle within a square," is just like the cockpit instruments of an airplane. Expressing the design techniques of a fighter jet's head-up display on the small scale of an analog mechanical watch must have been an innovative exercise for the brand's creative studio.

Green like a computer display
The sapphire crystal is tinted and then coated with a green pigment from the back. The strong green light is also reflected in the hour numerals, indexes, triangular hour markers, minute circle, and hands, which are coated with green Super-LumiNova® C3. The four brackets printed on the back of the crystal are also coated with the same coating.

From the cockpit to the wristwatch
The square-shaped "BR 01," which became an explosive hit, was born in 2005, inspired by the cockpit clocks of aircraft from the 1970s. The "BR 01" has quickly grown into an iconic watch that represents the brand, but from 2010, the "Flight Instrument Collection," a special model designed with professional use in mind, was introduced. These models offer a new interpretation of aircraft instrument panels and at the same time a new way of reading time, without compromising on legibility, which is the most important aspect of professional use.
