The Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date, launched in 2017 in white gold and pink gold, is considered one of Vacheron Constantin's signature models. Its elegant, understated appearance and unique display style embody the distinctive character of Vacheron Constantin, making it instantly recognizable. Three years after its launch, this timepiece, with its seamless harmony of elements, further enhances the Collection Excellence Platine and will be available exclusively in boutiques in a limited run of 50 pieces.

High-precision moon phase that only needs to be corrected once every 122 years

　The sandblasted dial of the Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date features a secret signature between 4 and 5 o'clock: the "Pt950" hallmark. The moon phase disc, visible at 6 o'clock, is also made of platinum, with polished stars and a grained moon motif to mimic the irregular surface of the moon. The domed dial, subtly raised from its periphery, is punctuated by 18K white gold hour markers, between which is a minute track made of round dots known as "pearls," also in white gold. The baton-shaped hands are also made of platinum, while the pointer date hand is blued for improved legibility.

All adjustments can be done with just one turn of the crown

The retrograde date is displayed using a central hand that occupies the upper half of the dial. For enhanced usability, winding the mainspring, correcting the date, adjusting the moon phase, and setting the time can all be done using the crown alone. The applied indexes and pearl-shaped minute track are made of white gold.

The moon phase is displayed in a window at 6 o'clock, and the age of the moon, or the number of days since the last new moon, can be read on the 29 1/2 scale surrounding the window. The displays correspond to the actual cycle of the moon, which takes exactly 29 days, 12 hours and 45 minutes to orbit the Earth, and the intricate mechanism only needs to be corrected by one day once every 122 years.

The sapphire case back reveals the 275-component movement, with its circular graining that decorates the surface of the main plate and its openwork 22K gold rotor, inspired by Vacheron Constantin's Maltese cross emblem.

The "Collection Excellence Platinum," launched in 2006, has offered collectors special limited edition models made of platinum 950. The sandblasted dial features the "Pt950" hallmark engraved between 4 and 5 o'clock as a secret sign.
