The Geneva Watch Days Organizing Committee will hold the Geneva Watch Days 2020, a watch event, in Geneva from August 26th to 29th, 2020. Nine watch manufacturers will participate, including Bulgari, Breitling, Girard-Perregaux, and H. Moser & Cie.
The only major watch fair to be held in Switzerland in 2020
The Geneva Watch Days Organizing Committee will hold the Geneva Watch Days 2020 watch event in Geneva from August 26th to 29th, 2020. Participating manufacturers include Bulgari, Breitling, De Bethune, Gérald Genta (finally back!), Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., MB&F, Ulysse Nardin, and Urwerk. Other associate brands scheduled to participate include HYT, Louis Moinet, and Maurice Lacroix. With this year's Baselworld and Watches & Wonders (formerly SIHH) canceled, this will be the only combined watch event to be held in Switzerland in 2020.
Geneva Watch Days 2020 will take place in a hotel in Geneva rather than at an exhibition center. The Geneva Watch Days Organizing Committee describes the event as a "multi-brand, decentralized, self-managed watch event."
Geneva Watch Days 2020 was launched in March 2020 with the support of the Canton of Geneva. With the backing of Pierre Maudet, former Mayor of Geneva and current member of the Cantonal Council, the event offers special rates set by the organizing committee and allows guests to stay at hotels in Geneva (listed below).
Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Bvlgari Group, who is effectively organizing the event, said: "This unique framework for decentralizing the watch brands ensures our safety, and we have put together strict hygiene rules for all participants and visitors, so there are no risks. Bringing the entire Swiss watch industry together in one place - Geneva - is a major and unique opportunity to rekindle the flames of the watchmaking sector, which has slowed down over the past few weeks."
