Mido will be releasing the new "Ocean Star GMT." This model is a diver's watch with a GMT function. It boasts a clean design and excellent legibility despite its many functions. Three models will be available, with releases scheduled for July 2020.

The Ocean Star GMT has such a clean design that at first glance you wouldn't even notice it has a GMT function. The GMT hand has been designed to be indistinguishable from other hands. Automatic (Cal. 80). 25 jewels. 21,600 vph. Power reserve of approximately 80 hours. Stainless steel (diameter 44.0 mm, thickness 13.28 mm). Water resistant to 20 bar. Price: 135,000 yen (excluding tax).
A multi-functional watch with excellent visibility
Mido's signature diver's watch collection, Ocean Star, is adding a GMT model. The Ocean Star collection is inspired by the lighthouse overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, and its robustness is evident in its ability to keep accurate time even in harsh conditions.
One notable feature of the newly announced Ocean Star GMT is its high visibility. Its design ensures that the time is easy to read even with the GMT function. The GMT hand is painted blue, and the Super-LumiNova is square for the hour and minute hands, while the GMT hand is triangular. This allows you to check the time at a glance, not only in bright light but also in the dark. The 24-hour display index is displayed on an inner ring that does not interfere with the time display, creating a clean impression despite the watch's multifunctionality.
The movement used is the company's familiar Cal. 80, which has a long power reserve of approximately 80 hours and is known for its high reliability.
The unidirectional rotating bezel is made of durable and aesthetically pleasing blue ceramic, and the strap is made of blue fabric, making it suitable for casual occasions such as marine sports.
Other variations include a stainless steel case with an orange GMT hand and a stainless steel and rose gold PVD bracelet, both of which are scheduled to be released after July 2020.
