The exquisitely decorated Caliber 1865

The overall color palette, matching the colors of the ALINGHI logo, is red, representing passion, and black, evoking advanced technology. Each color exudes strength through the perforated strap, featuring red rubber between black rubber, and the 44.25mm black ceramic case. The exterior is also captivating, with a tachymeter scale coated in Super-LumiNova and a red ALINGHI logo on the stop/start pusher for the chronograph function.

The Speedmaster was chosen as the basis for this model because it perfectly evokes the image of a high-speed boat soaring across the water. The most striking feature of this new model is the intricately decorated Caliber 1865.

A honeycomb pattern resembling the design of a carbon fiber hull is laser engraved on the boat.

This manual-winding movement offers a light and slim design ideal for sailing crews, and OMEGA was inspired by Alinghi's new boat, the TF35 catamaran, during the movement's development stage. Echoing the design of the TF35's carbon fiber hull, the main plate and barrel bridges are laser-etched with a honeycomb design. All other bridges also feature a laser-etched, black-finish carbon design, inspired by the carbon used in the boat's hull.

The elaborate design is also present on the sub-dials

The two subdials are also thoughtfully designed. The 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock displays the four or five minutes in red, indicating the race start warning/preparation time, making it easy to keep track of time on the water. The 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock replaces the traditional subdial design with a sandblasted aluminum disc that has been anodized to create an oxide film on the aluminum surface, and features a red Alinghi logo transferred onto it. The Alinghi team logo features the letter "a" and is inspired by two boats floating in the sea just before a race. It's also worth noting that the logo rotates when the chronograph function is used.
